Within 5 seconds the 64-slice scanner has the ability to perform complex and precise scans on the whole body giving 3D images of the heart, the coronary vessels and all the organs of the human body; opening new ways to combat diseases of the heart and cancer.

One of the important applications is related to a new method of painless coronography of high precission, without an artery catheterization and without the need for the patient to be hospitalised (as practised in a standard coronography which is considered an invasive procedure and may involve a danger of complications for the patient.)

A special CT heart scan (64-slice) is suggested for:

• Asymptomatic patients who have incipient atherosclerosis.
• In high risk patients who cannot go through standard coronography.
• Patients with arrhythmia for whom the standard coronography is considered dangerous.
• Patients with a bad medical history or danger of coronary disease.
• Patients who have undergone a by-pass as a means of re-evaluation.
• All men aged 35-75 and all women aged 40-75.
